Senior parents and students are encouraged to attend the financial aid night on Thursday, November 7th from 6:00-9:00. This presentation, done by a representative from the state departement, is full of information about financial aid, Promise requirements and deadlines, and other state sponsored scholarship programs.

The JMHS Guidance Department will be taking students in grades 10-12 to visit Virginia Tech on Wednesday, November 6th. Students on this trip will take part in an information session which is follwed by a campus tour. At the end of the visit, students will be eating on campus at Virginia Tech. We are very excited to offer this opportunity to our students, and we are hopeful that they gain insight into the college life.
YWCA Wheeling is proud to announce the 2014 Project on Racism Essay Contest, also known as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Contest. The Project on Racism Essay Contest honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., while encouraging students’ creativity through essay writing. The YWCA Wheeling is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The contest is open to all students in grades 1-12. The essay must be no more than 2 pages. The submission deadline is November 1. For more information click here.
