On October 22nd, Monroe County Model UN participants traveled to Woodrow Wilson for the yearly debate that they hold. With the Monroe County Model UN Conference being just the day before, students were well prepared for the conference. After a long day of debating and drafting resolutions, the committees met up at the end of the day to hand out awards and discuss a few resolutions that had been passed. During the awards ceremony, a few delegates from the James Monroe delegation were recognized for their outstanding performance during the course of the competition. Matthew Meadows received awards for being both the Best Delegate in committee and the Best Debater in General Assembly, Austin Toney and Logan Robinson received an award for the Best Resolution, and Whitney Hunt and Isaac McKlarney received one for Best Delegation in their committee. All in all, James Monroe was represented well in the competition. We are looking forward to our future competitions and ventures. Comments are closed.
