The James Monroe Coburn Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 40 new members on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the JMHS Auditorium. To qualify, a student but have a 3.72 Grade Point Average, and complete an application for review by faculty committee that outlines how they exhibit scholarship, leadership, character and service.
Much to the delight of the audience, skilled bluegrass musicians Caden Glover and Evan Blankenship provided music for the celebration. Current members served cake and punch to the new inductees. Those inducted include Seniors: Chase Craig, Faith Craig and Kadie Dixon. Juniors: Kylie Dunbar and Aliyah Mullins. Sophomores: Brianna Anderson, Elijah Amos, Lauren Ballard, Austin Coe, Sara Collins, Jacob Craft, Abby Craghead, Brooklynn Ellison, Jordan Feamster, Kasadee Ferguson, Anarya French, Maggie Friend, Emily Halstead, William Hiner, LIllian Jackson, Marisa Kelley, Kate Lankford, Xander Lewis, Isabelle Mann, Jakobey Meadows, Morgan Mills, Kendra Munsey, Evan Mustain, Megan Pendergrass, Shannon Phipps, Jamey Shrieves, Brianna Smith, James Sneddon, William Sneddon, Zoey Snider, Madison VAss, Olivia Vass, Nicholas Vaught, Ethan Weikle, and Kora Wransky.
