The Wendy’s High School Heisman Program is looking for all types of high-achieving seniors who participate in a wide range of sports and school and community activities. Applicants must have a GPA at or above 3.0 and participate in at least one school sponsored sport. They must also be a leader in school and in the community and serve as a role model for underclassman. Finalists will participate in a Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York City that will air on ESPN2. Winners at each level will receive Wendy's gift cards. Finalists will win money for James Monroe High School. Applications must be submitted by October 2nd.

This scholarship sweepstakes opens on September 15th. Two winners will be randomly chosen every two weeks from October 31st to May 15th. Seniors may enter once every two weeks for a $500 scholarship. Two high school juniors and seniors will be selected as delegates to represent West Virginia in the 53rd United States Senate Youth Program to be held on March 7-14, 2015, in Washington, D.C. Delegates will earn a $5,000 college scholarship for their participation in the program. Applicants must be a current member of the JMHS Student Government Association. State semi-finalists will be selected based on test scores earned on an exam that will be given at JMHS on September 15th. If you are interested in applying for the program, you need to sign up in the guidance office by September 9th.
