Last year, over 22 students (from various WV counties - Berkeley Co., Cabell Co., Harrison Co., Jefferson Co., Kanawha Co., Logan Co., Mason Co., Ohio Co., Webster Co., and Wood Co., etc.) accepted appointments to attend U.S. service academies and prep schools! One major key to student success (besides academic, physical, and extracurricular achievements) is being informed about potential opportunities at these educational institutions and starting the information gathering process as early as possible.
A VIRTUAL Academy Day program will be held on September 15, 2020 at 6:30 PM (additional events will be held on September 16, 2020 and September 22, 2020) for any and all middle and high students, parents and school officials interested in learning more about U.S. service academies (Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, Military/West Point, Naval). We will also have a representative from the U.S. Dept. of Defense’s Medical Examination Review Board to discuss the medical aspects of the application process. Academy Day is an opportunity for students, parents, and school officials to ask questions and obtain information regarding the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy. Representatives will be ready to answer questions regarding the educational, physical and recreational requirements to attend these prestigious institutions. Registration is Required. Attendees may register via the link below or by visiting Senator Capito’s website: https://www.capito.senate.gov/academy-nominations. Comments are closed.
